Rockwool 101
Over half a century ago, the rockwool production process was mainly manual. Today, the rockwool manufacturing and production process is highly advanced. We use state of the art technology in manufacturing rockwool to ensure that our clients receive their rockwool orders in a timely manner.
Rockwool is also known as stone wool or mineral wool. Rockwool is made of raw material. These materials are fed to the top of our high-tech furnace. The furnace melts the rockwool and spins it into fibers. Next, small amounts of oil are added and the wool is placed on a conveyor belt. The structure and density of the rockwool is determined and taken into consideration when the rockwool is going through the final stages of development. Once the rockwool has been spun according to the right density and other properties, it is cut into different sizes and sent for final treatment before it is packaged.
